With the A5 Recent Post Widget you can put your latest post in the focus and style it differently.

Yet another recent post widget. It shows the last post of your blog, where and how you want. You can define, on which pages of your site it shows and whether you want to show a post thumbnail or not. Decide, whether the links go to the post, to the attachment page or simply to a file. You can style the links in the plugins settings and each widget container differently. The plugin was tested up to WP 4.5 and should work with versions down to 2.7 but was never tested on those.

All the plugins are tested on the same server with exactly same configuration via test script that automatically activates and logs the data WP Hive shows.

  • All the scripts run on a VPS with 8 CPU cores and 8 GB of RAM.
  • The test sites are hosted on Google Cloud VM instances, one site/plugin per instance. The machine type is n1-standard-1. The server is a 8 core CPU with 8GB of RAM.
  • The test sites are hosted on Apache/2 server and they are tested on PHP 7.2.16 & WordPress 5.2.4.
  • The database server is MySQL 8.0.15 and the default PHP memory limit is 256MB.
