Adds a new field type to ACF allowing users to draw focal points on images. Uses Wenting Zhang’s Responsify.js to create focal points on images using jQuery. Works similar to a traditional ACF image field, but once an image is selected and a preview is displayed, this plugin allows drawing a box around a focal point in the image using canvas. That image can then be displayed in a nice responsified fashion. View the ResponsifyJs homepage for a demo. Image returned as either tag or object to use within themes. Includes responsify.js. See Frequently Asked Questions for more info and detailed usage. Last tested on ACF v4 (4.4.5) & ACF Pro (5.3.3.2).

All the plugins are tested on the same server with exactly same configuration via test script that automatically activates and logs the data WP Hive shows.

  • All the scripts run on a VPS with 8 CPU cores and 8 GB of RAM.
  • The test sites are hosted on Google Cloud VM instances, one site/plugin per instance. The machine type is n1-standard-1. The server is a 8 core CPU with 8GB of RAM.
  • The test sites are hosted on Apache/2 server and they are tested on PHP 7.2.16 & WordPress 5.2.4.
  • The database server is MySQL 8.0.15 and the default PHP memory limit is 256MB.
