The plugin automatically displays excerpts instead of full post contents in your blog. Custom excerpts and generated excerpts supported.

Created to help those people who don’t like to edit code in template files (or are too lazy to do that). Just activate the plugin and it will automatically show the_excerpts in your homepage, archives and search results. It tries to display your custom excerpt text and if it doesn’t find it it will show an automatically generated excerpt. You can also define excerpt length, custom read more link and attach a thumbnail.

All the plugins are tested on the same server with exactly same configuration via test script that automatically activates and logs the data WP Hive shows.

  • All the scripts run on a VPS with 8 CPU cores and 8 GB of RAM.
  • The test sites are hosted on Google Cloud VM instances, one site/plugin per instance. The machine type is n1-standard-1. The server is a 8 core CPU with 8GB of RAM.
  • The test sites are hosted on Apache/2 server and they are tested on PHP 7.2.16 & WordPress 5.3.
  • The database server is MySQL 8.0.15 and the default PHP memory limit is 256MB.
